We need new solutions to old problems when it comes to ensuring high levels of success for all teachers and students. The Transforming School Institute has been designed to provide insights and actions to meeting these challenges for schools. Led by Dr Janelle Wills, Gavin Grift and Tonia Flanagan this institute explores what both school leaders and teachers can do to shape a school culture that truly meets the needs for all students through a relentless focus on learning and high quality teaching.
 
This institute is designed to support systems leaders, school leaders, teacher leaders and teachers in:
Understanding how creating a culture of collaboration can enhance teaching and learning
Providing insights into what schools and classrooms do to ensure high levels of learning for all
  students through eff ective instruction
Providing teachers with strategies to support the transformation of school and classroom culture

Our Presenters

Dr Janelle Wills is the Director of The Marzano Institute Australia. Janelle is the lead training associate for High Reliability Schools, The Art and Science of Teaching and other Marzano topics. Personally trained by Dr Robert Marzano and with over thirty years of teaching and leadership experience across the three sectors of schooling, Janelle has a strong commitment to continued learning enabling her to remain both informed and innovative in her approaches.
Tonia Flanagan (BA, Dip Ed, M Ed) currently serves as a Senior Training Associate for Hawker Brownlow Professional Learning Solutions.  With 32 years experience as teacher, regional curriculum advisor, school principal and educational consultant, Tonia has expertise in instructional leadership and how it directly impacts student achievement. 
Gavin Grift is currently Director of Professional Learning for Hawker Brownlow Professional Learning Solutions. With experience as a teacher, assistant principal and educational coach, Gavin connects with audiences on topics ranging from Cognitive Coaching and quality teacher practice to professional learning communities, collaboration and learning-centred leadership.
